Urban Tails Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer based organization. We operate remotely with no physical location at this time.

We are currently growing and hope to fill additional roles in the following departments:

  • Foster and Adoptions Counsellor

    If you’re:
    - Passionate about supporting foster dogs and their families
    - Eager to be a part of a rescue dog's journey
    - Have great interpersonal skills

  • Interview Team Member

    If you’re interested in joining our Interview Team, here’s what you’ll be doing:

    - Interviewing potential adopters
    - Chatting with adopters about all qualities of the dog they've applied for
    - Answering questions that potential adopters may have
    - Making great connections between people and dogs!

  • Medical Administration

    The Medical Team is looking for an all-star admin team member to come onboard and make them complete. Working directly with the Medical Manager and Founder, you’ll be an integral and (very) important part of the team. You’ll be contributing directly to the wellbeing of our animals in care!

    What you’ll be doing:
    - Coordinating with partner veterinary clinics for medical files and opening/ closing files
    - Coordinating with Fosters and clinics for appointment bookings
    - Editing and providing supplementary information to medical notes in our system
    - Directly communicating internally within our Foster/ Adoptions teams providing medical appointment updates

  • Events Coordinator(s)

    The Events team is looking to grow! If you’re:

  • We’re looking for more Alumni Team Members!

    This is an exciting area of the rescue, as you get to directly check in on alumni dogs and families to see how things are going.

    While this mostly involves receiving very cute family photos, another aspect of this role is providing information and resources to families who may require some extra help.

    - Interested in checking in on adopted dogs and their families
    - Organized with great attention to detail
    - Creative and willing to create exciting new ways to engage adoptive families

  • Foster/ Adoptions Admin

    The Foster and Adoptions team is looking to add an Administration Team Member to the crew.

    This role will involve exceptional attention to detail, great note taking and editing skills as well as some contract editing/ revision work.

    Outside of the paperwork, you’ll be directly contributing to the happiness of people and pets, forming connections with fosters and families as well as adopters!

  • Transport Team Member

    We’re in need of more Transport Team Members!

    If you’re:

    -     Flexible with your schedule
    - Happy on the road, assisting animals in care
    - Eager to help in various areas of the rescue including animal transportation and donation transport
    - Reliable and dependable
